Adorable baby bats

Best Friends!!!

Bats in blankets!!!! Ahhhhh....

Marmots.

Look at them!! They are just cool-lookin' in a very simple way, much like classic Levi's brand jeans. And I like the way their name sounds.

Glamourshots!

Are they dancing awkwardly at a marmot junior high school dance?? Are they in love? Are they choking each other???? Surely not to that last one.

Art prints!

Thanks to Sam for reminding me of what great creatures these are.

Mouse lemurs just get cuter

Binkie, you are unnaturally adorable. And yes, this is another excuse for me to post pictures of Binkie. What with all the strife in the world, we need to take some time to remember what's most important: this blog and the animals featured within it.

Monkeys hugging stuff

Giant Antarctic starfish

God, that thing looks perverse.

Read about other giant sea creatures.

"It's "exciting when you come across a new species," said Chris Jones, a fisheries scientist at the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration."

Yes, Mr. Jones, it truly is. Especially when you can be certain that disturbing new fetish communities are cropping up around the world after seeing your new species. Ick.

Cat Ambassador

OK, so considering that it's not really a living creature, this cat ambassador is totally borderline material for this blog. But I thought, what the hell, the caption underneath the picture is amazing.

From the Guardian news story Japan enlists cartoon cat as ambassador:

"Doraemon reacts with joy as he is presented with a plate of dorayaki pancakes by Japanese foreign minister Masahiko Komura. Photograph: Itsuo Inouye/AP"

Check him out!!! HE JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH PANCAKES!!!! He "reacts with joy"!!!! If that doesn't make you want to read the rest of the story, then you better check your head.

Thanks Olivia/Tatsuo for the tip.

Oversized German rabbit (in honor of Easter, the holiday that is making me miss X)

I am going to miss the X show this Saturday in Minneapolis because of family unity/my parents' desire to watch me mope and not eat anything because there is never anything vegetarian at my family holidays. But whatever, at least I now have a topical excuse to post pictures of that GIANT RABBIT FROM GERMANY. He could hug you! He could crush you!! He could pull you around on a skateboard!

Also, his owner is adorable.

Contrary to what many people think, this is not an urban legend AT ALL. This rabbit is real, REAL TALK. Read more about him here.

OMGwhatisthat.blogspot.com is on hiatus this next week while I go get it crunk in Texas. For the time being, please enjoy this wonderful St. Patrick's Day Tarsier created by my friend, Keri.

Totally wasted armadillo...in honor of SXSW

Self-explanatory. One year these guys were in ALL the shops. Then the next year they were gone. Rehab?

Get crazy, lil' buddies!!! SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!

Giant toad-stravaganza

As I prepare to depart for SXSW, let's take a moment to celebrate huge fuckin' toads.

(Editor's note: I do not support dangling giant animals just to demonstrate how big they are. For shame, sir!)

Art photography!

Giant toad in love with a little toad-ahhhhh!!!!

Amazing consumer penguin

He loves to shop! He lives with people in a special ultra air-conditioned room! AND HE WEARS A PENGUIN-SHAPED BACKPACK ON HIS ADORABLE PENGUIN BACK!!!!

Cutest fish ever!!!!

No, I don't know what it's called. I just know I wanna hug it and tell it my secrets.

Since I've already christened that mouse lemur with the most disgustingly cute name I can think of, Binkie, I would like to propose naming this fellow here Lil' Bubbles.

Unholy triceratops fish

To Jesse with love.

Triceratops Fish (Actually its real name is the frog fish. I am not making this up. It is real. TOO REAL, some might say.)

And special honors go to the light of my life, Binkie.

"Goodman's mouse-lemur: It has a long bushy tail, relatively small ears and large testes, which are suggestive of a promiscuous mating system.”

Special thanks to Olivia for introducing me to this amazing creature.

Better known as the delightful and whimsical BINKIE OMG LOLZ SOOOO CUTE!!!!!

The original...

Made 6,544% better courtesy of Sam.

I wuv you, Binkie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG, what is that??? The inaugural freak animal.

Tarsiers, you are my inspiration for everything I do. This blog is dedicated to you, and the amazing impact you have made on my life, and the lives of all who have seen you.
